Film Equipment Rental Across Japan

Shoots across Japan need solid access to pro-grade gear. The same crew might work central Tokyo one day, then the Japan Alps, the Okinawa coast, or the snowfields of Hokkaido the next.

Our Japan inventory is built for Hokkaido sub-zero, Okinawa salt air, and Tokyo's RF-saturated streets — broadcast-spec on every truck.

Our stock covers cinema cameras, lighting rigs, audio gear, and grip packages. Each item is kept to broadcast spec and shows up on set on time. We back shoots of every size, from a small single-camera doc in Kyoto to a multi-unit commercial spread across many prefectures.

Cinema-Grade Equipment forms the core of our camera line. The bodies and lenses suit both studio sets and Japan's tough exteriors, from humid Osaka summers to sub-zero Hokkaido winters. Our Complete Lighting Systems offer LED and HMI options for interiors and large outdoor rigs, where steady output matters all day.

Pro Audio Gear rounds out the kit, with wireless systems, boom kits, and location sound packages. Each one is tested before it leaves the truck, so every rental ships in spec, on time, and ready to shoot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do you have available?

We source from Imagica, NAC, Ginichi, and other major Tokyo rental houses. Our stock reaches ARRI Alexa 35 and Mini LF, RED V-RAPTOR and Komodo, and Sony VENICE 2, plus a full lens range from Zeiss Supreme to Cooke S7 to Canon Sumire primes. Lighting runs from ARRI SkyPanel X to M-series HMIs to Astera tubes, and audio comes from Lectrosonics, Wisycom, and Sound Devices. If it is in pro use, we can get it.

Do you provide technical support during the shoot?

We give phone support on every package, and our technicians stand by on set to build tricky rigs. Camera prep happens the day before so the AC team is ready, and we never send untested gear to set. If a unit fails during the shoot, Tokyo rental houses can mostly swap it the same day. Regional shoots are harder, so we pack backup gear for anything mission-critical.

Can you create custom equipment packages?

Custom packages are the default. DPs spec their camera kits, gaffers pull their lighting orders, and sound mixers set their preferred wireless frequencies. We line up every department so it all works as one: we match power draw to pack capacity, confirm lens coverage for the sensor size, and keep wireless audio and video from clashing. The package fits the show, not the other way around.

What is included with equipment rental?

Our team tests and charges the batteries, formats the media cards, and preps 100V Japanese power adapters and cables. We handle transport, and you can add gel and diffusion ready to use on set. We pack backup cameras and audio transmitters as our safety net, so your shoot is covered when Murphy's Law kicks in. We also give setup help and walkthroughs for crew new to a specific piece of gear.

How does pricing and insurance work?

Japanese rental houses price gear by the day in yen, and weekly bookings earn a discount from the fourth or fifth day on. We quote all-in, apart from damage waivers. The gear needs production insurance, and most global policies work, though Japanese houses may want the certificate translated before they release it. Your deposit depends on the package: basic plans need none, while premium lenses and special gear call for a higher deposit.
