Film Equipment Rental Across Japan

Shoots across Japan need solid access to pro-grade gear. The same crew might work central Tokyo one day, then the Japan Alps, the Okinawa coast, or the snowfields of Hokkaido the next.

Our Japan inventory is built for Hokkaido sub-zero, Okinawa salt air, and Tokyo's RF-saturated streets — broadcast-spec on every truck.

Here is how this works in practice. Our stock covers cinema cameras, lighting rigs, audio gear, and grip packages. Each item is kept to broadcast spec and shows up on set on time. We back shoots of each size, from a small single-camera doc in Kyoto to a multi-unit commercial spread across many prefectures.

Here is the short of it. Cinema-Grade Equipment forms the core of our camera give. Bodies and lenses suit both studio sets and Japan's tough exteriors. Think humid Osaka summers or sub-zero Hokkaido winter days. Our Complete Lighting Systems have LED and HMI options for interiors and large outdoor rigs where steady output matters all day.

Here is the breakdown. Pro Audio Gear rounds out the kit, with wireless systems, boom kits, and location sound packages. Each one gets tested before it leaves the truck. Each rental ships in spec, on time, and ready to shoot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do you have available?

We source from Imagica, NAC, Ginichi, and other major Tokyo rental houses. Today's inventory access has ARRI Alexa 35 and Mini LF, RED V-RAPTOR and Komodo, Sony VENICE 2—plus the full lens ecosystem from Zeiss Supreme to Cooke S7 to Canon Sumire primes. Lighting runs from ARRI SkyPanel X to M-series HMIs to Astera tubes. Audio is Lectrosonics, Wisycom, Sound Devices. If it's in pro use, we can get it.

Do you provide technical support during the shoot?

Here is how this works in practice. The firm gives phone support for all packages while technicians will be ready on set for building tricky structures. The camera preparation takes place on the previous day when the AC team should be ready for the shoot—we do't send untested gear to set. If something fails during the shoot, Tokyo rental houses can mostly swap units same-day. Regional shoots are trickier, so we build in backup gear for anything mission-critical.

Can you create custom equipment packages?

Here is the short of it. That's the default. DPs spec their camera packages, gaffers pull their lighting orders, sound mixers have their preferred wireless frequencies. We set up across departments so everything works together—matching power draws to power packs capacity, confirming lens coverage for the sensor size, making sure wireless audio and video don't conflict. The package fits the show, not the other way around.

What is included with equipment rental?

Here is the breakdown. The team performed battery testing and charging operations followed by media card formatting and 100V Japanese power adapter and cable preparation. The system gives transport services and customers can order gel materials and diffusion services which are ready for use. The backup gear for cameras and audio transmitters serves as our emergency solution which protects our production from unexpected problems that Murphy's Law would create.'s Law kicks in. Setup support and walkthroughs for crew who haven't used specific gear before.

How does pricing and insurance work?

Here is what that looks like on the ground. Japanese rental houses give their customers with day rate pricing in yen which gives discounted rates for weekly bookings starting from the fourth or fifth day of rental. We quote all-in except for damage waivers. The gear needs production insurance coverage which most global policies will work but Japanese houses might need the certificate translation before they release it. The amount customers need to deposit for their purchase depends on their selected package because basic plans do not need a deposit but premium lenses and specialized products need increased deposit amounts.
