Japanese cinema's colour identity ranges wide. It runs from Kore-eda's muted seasonal palettes to the bright neon Tokyo nightscapes of anime-style live action, now known the world over. Japanese colorists are trained inside that visual culture.

Our network covers the senior suites at OMNIBUS JAPAN in Akasaka and THE SEVEN, which is tied to TBS broadcast. It also covers Imagica Entertainment, a market leader handling four thousand-plus titles a year, and vfxNova, whose LA office runs global hand-offs. Many colorists train at Tokyo University of the Arts and Musashino Art University. They blend fine-art colour theory with the strict broadcast bars that NHK and commercial networks set.

We match colorists to your job's genre and delivery type. Primaries are graded on DaVinci Resolve and Baselight. Japan's first DaVinci Certified Trainer is based in Tokyo. Our suites give HDR mastering, Dolby Vision grading, and ARIB-ready outputs. We also cover theatrical DCP, streaming, and global broadcast specs.

Remote grading sessions run from Shibuya and Shinjuku houses. The JST timezone gives an edge here. It allows same-day Asia-Pacific work and all-night European or North American turnaround. Your story might need the calm pastel skin of Kyoto temple drama or the lively glow of Shinjuku commercial work. Either way, we place the right finishing artist.

We vet every colorist on portfolio, broadcast credits, and bilingual English-Japanese communication. Most reach us through Tokyo's post-house network rather than open hire. Suite and artist fees are quoted in JPY, with the ten per cent consumption tax shown as a separate line. Session hours follow the Labour Standards Act, so we plan rest days into long finishing runs. Golden Week and the Obon period both tighten suite availability, and we book grading windows around them.

The colorist sits at the end of the post chain, so the handoff matters. We take conformed timelines straight from your editor and match the look the DaVinci Resolve flow set on the offline. Our suites coordinate with the VFX team so graded plates and final shots stay consistent. Deliverables cover Rec.709 broadcast masters for NHK, TBS, and Fuji TV, plus HDR and Dolby Vision passes for Netflix Japan and global streaming. Each version ships checked and documented.
