SCENE 01 / AUDIO MIXING MASTERING
Audio Mixing & Mastering
Professional audio finishing that delivers perfect balance, clarity, and impact across all playback systems from cinema to streaming platforms.
Mixing and mastering are the last stages of audio post-prod. Here each sound element is balanced, tuned, and refined into one clean soundtrack. Mixing sets levels and placement. Mastering then locks in steady quality and meets the delivery format specs.
We set up your mix and master with rooms and engineers ready to take the soundtrack to broadcast, theatrical, or streaming standards. Our team runs the scheduling, asset delivery, and quality checks, so the final mix meets both your creative vision and the tech needs.

Final Mix and Mastering for Japan-Originated Content
Our mix and mastering stages in Tokyo and Osaka run tuned tracking for stereo, 5.1, 7.1, and Dolby Atmos. When a feature or tight series needs extra space, overflow rooms route through Imagica, Sony PCL, NEP, and Q-Tec.
Engineers premix dialogue, music, and effects on their own, then unite them on the main stage. The session keeps frame-true shape, clean dynamics, and EQ that honours the source rather than masking it. We deliver to NHK 4K/8K broadcast spec, ATSC A/85 for North American carriage, and EBU R128 for European delivery. We also hit platform targets like Netflix Japan (-27 LKFS), Amazon, and Apple TV+.
Each job closes with full M&E stems, dialogue stems, and effects stems for global versioning. The print master then ships in every format your release chain needs.
Cue sheets are logged to frame, and loudness reports go out with the masters. A final pass on consumer reference rigs in Yokohama checks the mix. It must carry to soundbars and earbuds as well as it played in the theatre. You walk away with files that pass first-time QC on every platform you ship to.
Delivery scope follows the broadcaster, not a single house spec. We cut TBS and Fuji TV carriage masters, NHK 4K and 8K packages, and Netflix Japan platform files from one approved mix. Turnaround scales with the job. A short commercial spot finishes inside days, while a feature or series run usually books two to three weeks of stage time. We confirm a firm schedule before any session opens.
We plan mix dates around Japan's calendar, holding sessions clear of Golden Week and Obon when stage and engineer availability tightens. Studio hours follow the Japanese Labor Standards Act. Quotes are framed in yen, with the ten percent consumption tax shown on its own line. Our team carries notes, review calls, and final sign-off in both English and Japanese, so overseas producers follow each mix decision without a translation gap. We confirm the stage booking and a written estimate before any session opens.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is the creative work of balancing dialogue, music, and effects. It also sets levels, EQ, dynamics, and placement. Mastering is the final tech polish. It makes the mix meet broadcast specs and loudness standards, so it carries well across every playback system.
What loudness standards do you work with?
We work with every major loudness standard. These include EBU R128 for European broadcast, ATSC A/85 for US television, and platform targets for Netflix (-27 LKFS), Amazon, Apple TV+, and theatrical release. Our team makes sure your content hits each spec.
Can you create stems and M&E tracks?
Yes. We deliver full stem packages, with dialogue, music, and effects stems. We also add complete M&E (Music & Effects) tracks for global versioning and dubbing. Every stem is frame-accurate and comes with detailed cue sheets for a smooth fit.
What surround formats do you support?
We mix and deliver in every surround format, including 5.1, 7.1, and Dolby Atmos. Our tuned mixing rooms keep tracking true for each one. We then build dedicated masters set for theatrical, home theater, and streaming sites.
