Digital Cinema Package (DCP)

Your feature may head to the Tokyo International Film Festival, a multiplex run through Toho cinemas, or a festival entry from Yubari. For each path, we line up DCP mastering with DCI-certified houses in Tokyo and Osaka. Our partners include Imagica, Sony PCL, and Q-Tec.

Our team runs JPEG2000 encoding and XYZ colour-space shift from your DCI-P3 or Rec.709 grade. We then build the encrypted CPL and create KDMs tied to set projector certificates and screening windows. Audio setups cover 5.1, 7.1, and Dolby Atmos near-field mixes. Subtitle tracks match the Japanese cinema chain's expected layout and timing.

Standard feature DCPs ship within one to three business days. Rush turnaround is on hand for festival deadlines. We deliver 2K and 4K versions, plus extra packs for re-versioned audio or other language tracks. Each package ships with full check reports, tested on cinema servers before handover.

Each package is tested for first-pass approval from Japanese exhibitors and global festivals. Your film may hit the screen at Roppongi Hills or the Kyoto Cinema. There, the projection lands just as your colorist and re-recording mixer planned.

Before any pack ships, we play it back on a cinema server to confirm clean projection. QC covers image, audio routing, subtitle timing, and CPL structure. Each check is logged, so you hold a record if a venue raises a question on screening day. We schedule the build against your festival or release date and track KDM windows per venue. That keeps each projector keyed for the right dates without a last-minute scramble.

We run DCP work bilingually, with English-language coordination beside our Japanese mastering teams. Overseas filmmakers get delivery notes and KDM schedules in plain English, so a Tokyo screening books as smoothly as one back home. Quotes come in Japanese yen and state the 10 percent consumption tax up front. The base DCP, each re-versioned audio or subtitle pack, and KDM management are costed as separate lines. That keeps the theatrical delivery budget clear across single and multi-venue runs.
