Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment do you have available?
We source from Imagica, NAC, Ginichi, and other major Tokyo rental houses. Current inventory access includes ARRI Alexa 35 and Mini LF, RED V-RAPTOR and Komodo, Sony VENICE 2—plus the full lens ecosystem from Zeiss Supreme to Cooke S7 to Canon Sumire primes. Lighting runs from ARRI SkyPanel X to M-series HMIs to Astera tubes. Audio is Lectrosonics, Wisycom, Sound Devices. If it's in professional use, we can get it.
Do you provide technical support during the shoot?
The company provides phone support for all packages while technicians will be available on set for building complicated structures. The camera preparation takes place on the previous day when the AC team should be available for the shoot—we do't send untested gear to set. If something fails during the shoot, Tokyo rental houses can usually swap units same-day. Regional shoots are trickier, so we build in backup gear for anything mission-critical.
Can you create custom equipment packages?
That's the default. DPs spec their camera packages, gaffers pull their lighting orders, sound mixers have their preferred wireless frequencies. We coordinate across departments so everything works together—matching power draws to generator capacity, confirming lens coverage for the sensor size, making sure wireless audio and video don't conflict. The package fits the show, not the other way around.
What is included with equipment rental?
The team performed battery testing and charging operations followed by media card formatting and 100V Japanese power adapter and cable preparation. The system offers transportation services and customers can order gel materials and diffusion services which are available for use. The backup equipment for cameras and audio transmitters serves as our emergency solution which protects our production from unexpected problems that Murphy's Law would create.'s Law kicks in. Setup support and walkthroughs for crew who haven't used specific gear before.
How does pricing and insurance work?
Japanese rental houses provide their customers with day rate pricing in yen which offers discounted rates for weekly bookings starting from the fourth or fifth day of rental. We quote all-in except for damage waivers. The equipment requires production insurance coverage which most international policies will work but Japanese houses might need the certificate translation before they release it. The amount customers need to deposit for their purchase depends on their selected package because basic plans do not require a deposit but premium lenses and specialized products need increased deposit amounts.
