SCENE 01 / MULTI CAMERA SETUPS

Multi-Camera Setups

Professional live event coverage and multi-camera production across Japan.

Scroll

Multi-camera setups use two or more cameras at once. They capture full coverage of scenes, events, or performances. From J-pop concerts at Tokyo Dome and Saitama Super Arena to Fuji Rock Festival broadcasts, this way speeds up the shoot, keeps every angle matched, and gives editors many views of each take.

Our team builds multi-camera setups with matched camera bodies, synced settings, and joined-up monitor kit across Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Fukuoka. We work alongside the broadcast setup tied to Toho Studios, where Netflix leases its own stages, and Toei's bets on virtual production. All of it draws on Japan's deep NHK and commercial broadcasting roots.

Live Multi-Camera Production Across Japan

Our multi-cam teams cover the country's busiest live settings across Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, and Fukuoka. That spans J-pop tours at Tokyo Dome and Saitama Super Arena, Fuji Rock at Naeba, sumo broadcasts from Ryōgoku Kokugikan, corporate launches in Marunouchi, and award nights at Pacifico Yokohama. Each venue gets a coverage plan tuned to its sightlines.

We deploy matched body kits of three to twelve-plus cameras. Settings stay in sync, IMAG feeds run to in-venue screens, and tracking is built in. Bilingual directors back the team, and most have come through major Japanese TV networks and Toho Studios shoots.

The tech runs through pro OB vans tuned to NHK and TBS specs. These bring the 4K and 8K UHD flows Japan's networks lead the world in. Our crews supply vision mixing, replay desks, fibre runs, intercom networks, and satellite or CDN uplink for live streaming to YouTube, Vimeo, or custom sites.

Rehearsals run on the venue floor before doors open. From Kyoto theatre runs and Osaka corporate galas to Fukuoka sports broadcasts, our crews keep the show feed and ISO recordings flowing under live pressure.

Camera bodies are matched and genlocked, so every angle holds the same look and timing. RED V-Raptor units cover cinematic spots, while broadcast heads sit on jibs, rails, and roving units. Studio-day overflow can route through Toho Studios infrastructure. Each ISO feed records to backup alongside the switched program. Bilingual technical managers coordinate the gallery in English. The 10 per cent consumption tax applies to crew, gear, and OB van line items in the quote.

After the show, ISO files and the program feed pass to post for finishing. We grade in DaVinci Resolve and deliver to Rec.709 for broadcast or HDR for streaming masters. Imagica and Sony PCL handle conform, color, and audio sweetening when projects need a full finish. Deliverables meet NHK, TBS, Fuji TV, and Netflix Japan specs. Full camera reports and metadata travel with the footage, so the edit and archive stay clean.

FAQ

Live Production Expertise

How many cameras can you deploy?

We often run setups from 3 to 12+ cameras based on event scale. For major concerts at Tokyo Dome or Saitama Super Arena, we can deploy large camera packages. These include specialty spots like jibs, roving cameras, and POV units.

Do you provide live switching and direction?

Yes. Our multi-camera packages bring skilled vision mixers and directors who switch between cameras live, building a polished edit on the fly. We can deliver a switched program feed, ISO recordings, or both.

Can you live stream our event?

Yes. We give full live streaming services, with encoding, CDN delivery, and platform setup for YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, or custom sites. We can also supply satellite uplink for broadcast.

What about IMAG for live audiences?

We give IMAG (Image Magnification) services for concerts and events. Live camera coverage feeds to venue screens, so the crowd can see close-ups of performers and speakers.

Do you have OB van facilities?

We work with pro OB (Outside Broadcast) vans fitted with switching desks, tracking, audio mixing, and all the kit needed. Japan's NHK and commercial networks run some of the world's most advanced 4K and 8K OB units.

How far in advance should we book?

For major events, we suggest booking 4-6 weeks ahead, which secures gear and gives time to plan well. Smaller multi-camera shoots can often be set up with 1-2 weeks notice.

Productions in Japan that need this often pair it with Live Streaming, Virtual Reality Filming, and Volumetric Capture for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Competition & Reality Show Production and Multi-Camera Shoots.
