SCENE 01 / VIRTUAL REALITY FILMING
Virtual Reality Filming
Professional 360 video and immersive VR content production across Japan.
Virtual reality filming makes fully immersive 360-degree content for VR headsets. It puts viewers inside the scene with six degrees of freedom. The format needs multi-lens camera arrays, spatial audio capture, and careful staging. Together these build vivid experiences that play to VR's unique strengths.
We set up VR shoots with the right camera systems, spatial audio rigs, and skilled immersive crews. Our team runs the whole tech pipeline from capture through post-prod. We make sure your VR content plays smoothly and feels comfortable on your target headset platforms.

Immersive 360 and VR Production Across Japan
Our VR teams capture 360 content at Japan's most iconic sites. These span Kyoto's Higashiyama temple districts, Fushimi Inari's torii corridor, and Tokyo's Shibuya Crossing and Shinjuku neon canyons. The list also covers cherry blossoms along the Meguro River, Mount Fuji from Hakone and the Fuji Five Lakes, the Itsukushima floating torii at Miyajima, and the beaches of Okinawa and the Yaeyama Islands.
Camera packages run from Insta360 Titan and Kandao Obsidian to RED-based custom rigs. These rigs capture stereoscopic 3D at 8K-plus resolution. We record ambisonic spatial audio on set, and the sound mix shifts with each viewer head movement.
Beyond the lens, we run the full post chain that VR asks for. It covers stitching, stereoscopic alignment, VR-set grading, and platform-tuned delivery for Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, PlayStation VR, PC VR headsets, and web-based 360 players.
Tokyo Location Box, Film Commission Japan, and shrine and temple authorities clear access to heritage sites. At these sites, 360 capture rules differ from standard shoot rules. Directors trained in immersive storytelling guide viewer attention through scenes built for presence, not framed composition.
A 360 shoot hides nowhere, so the crew works from outside the sphere. Operators set the rig, then clear the frame before each take. Heritage-site windows are tight, so we schedule around opening hours and crowd flow at busy spots like Fushimi Inari. Call-sheet hours follow the Japanese Labor Standards Act, with rest on long capture days. We coordinate the unit in English and quote in JPY, with the 10 per cent consumption tax on every line.
Stitching and finishing turn raw spheres into a smooth experience. We align stereoscopic plates, then grade the full 360 frame in DaVinci Resolve. Sony PCL and Imagica support spatial audio mixing and conform on larger projects. Each master is tuned per platform, from Meta Quest to web players. Capture logs and stitch notes travel with the files. The result holds presence and comfort across every target headset and viewer head movement.
FAQ
VR Production Expertise
What VR cameras do you use?
We work with pro 360 camera systems, including Insta360 Titan, Kandao Obsidian, and RED-based custom rigs. The camera choice rests on your resolution and stereoscopic needs and your project budget.
Can you create stereoscopic 3D VR?
Yes. We make both monoscopic (2D 360) and stereoscopic (3D 360) content. Stereoscopic adds more depth and immersion, but it needs trickier capture and post-prod. We will suggest the best route for your content.
What about spatial audio?
We capture spatial audio with ambisonic microphone arrays that pick up sound from all directions. In post-prod, we mix spatial audio that shifts with each viewer head movement for a fully immersive experience.
Which VR platforms can you deliver for?
We deliver content tuned for all major VR platforms, including Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, PlayStation VR, and PC VR headsets. Our team also prepares content for web-based 360 players and social media 360 video.
What makes VR filming different?
VR needs a different way to shoot. The whole 360 sphere is visible, so there is no 'off-camera' space to hide crew and gear. Directors guide attention rather than control the frame, and our team handles these unique challenges.
Can you film at landmarks in Japan?
Yes. We arrange VR filming at striking sites across Japan: ancient temples, futuristic cityscapes, cherry blossom parks, and island beaches. Our team handles permits, meets the special needs of 360 filming in public spaces, and delivers pro results.
